GREEN VILLAGE
As part of its development, the Codeogroup places CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) at the centre of its corporate strategy and culture. As a circular economy player, environmental, social and economic issues are inseparable from our activities. Thanks to the involvement of our employees and management team, we have developed numerous CSR projects and activities to integrate these environmental and solidarity concerns into our daily activities.
CodeoGroup wishes to make its headquarters in Curis-au-Mont d´Or a centre for circular economy which combines the well-being of employees with the respect of biodiversity.

CODEO GARDEN
In April 2018, we inaugurated the Codeo garden, a bucolic space for our employees, where they can relax, eat outdoors and play bocce ball. In the Codeo garden, you will not only find beehives but also a vegetable garden!
Our employees can now plant, grow and harvest their organic vegetables and herbs in the Codeo vegetable garden. Many people have expressed interest in this project and we have now assembled a reliable army of gardeners.
BEE THE CHANGE
The employees at our head office coexist with two hives which gather 160,000 bees in high season and produce up to 20 kg of honey each year for the pleasure of our employees and our best customers.
LET THE SUN SHINE
The roofs of our headquarters are covered with solar panels, their annual production represents + 30% of our energy consumption.
GREEN COMMUTING
Our employees are encouraged to carpool thanks to an internal travel system. Each year more than 2,000 journeys are made through carpooling!
Shuttle buses have been set up, either directly from the employees’ homes or from the train station, located 1.5 km from our headquarters. Each journey made by carpooling entitles the employee to a financial reward and train passes are 100% paid for in order to encourage the use of more environmentally friendly transportation. Charging stations for electric cars have also been installed in front of our offices.
RECYCLING
When reuse is not possible, we sort and recycle our WEEE and chemical waste under the best conditions, and have set up a recycling zone for that exact purpose.
Because the best waste is the one which doesn’t exist, we actively educate our employees on reducing waste and support them in selective sorting.
